In our journey to comprehend the complexities of cognitive health, we encounter mild cognitive impairment (MCI), a stage nestled between the normal cognitive decline that accompanies aging and more serious brain conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease. As part of this journey, we learn about tools like neuropsychological assessments, which offer valuable insights into our cognitive function and can identify early indications of MCI. This condition can be seen as a warning sign that often, but not inevitably, heralds the onset of dementia.
